EarthView is a narrated tour of the real Solar System. A calm AI voice guides you from world to world — Earth, the Sun, Mars, and the rest — over genuine NASA imagery, telling you what you’re seeing as you arrive. It opens on a live, gently rotating view of Earth.

Yes — it’s real NASA and NOAA imagery, never CGI or a simulation. “Live” means the latest real captured set, refreshed regularly — not a real-time video stream. NASA’s EPIC camera on the DSCOVR satellite publishes Earth images with a short delay (roughly one to three days), so what you see is the most recent genuine capture, not this exact second.

EarthView is completely free, with no ads and no in-app purchases. There’s nothing to unlock and nothing to buy.

Mostly, yes. EarthView caches its interface and recently viewed imagery, so you can keep exploring worlds you’ve already visited without a connection. Features that fetch fresh data — the newest Earth and Sun frames and the AI guide — need an internet connection to update.

The narrated tour and “Ask the guide” feature are powered by Claude, an AI model from Anthropic. When you start a journey or ask a question, only the text of that request is sent to generate a response — never your name, account, or device, because there aren’t any. The guide answers questions about the worlds on your screen; it isn’t an open web browser or a chat between users.

EarthView uses a natural-sounding voice when it’s available. If that service is temporarily unreachable, the app automatically falls back to your device’s built-in speech so the tour keeps working — it just sounds more synthetic until the natural voice is back.
