Privacy Policy
EarthView · Last updated June 19, 2026
The short version: EarthView has no accounts, collects no personal data, shows no ads, and uses no analytics or tracking. Nothing you do in the app is tied to your identity. The only time any data leaves your device is when you use the AI guide — and even then, only the text of your request is sent, with nothing that identifies you.
What we collect
Nothing that identifies you. EarthView has no sign-up, no login, no email capture, and no advertising or analytics SDKs. We do not build a profile of you, and there is no database of users — because there are no user accounts.
The AI guide (Anthropic)
EarthView’s narrated tour and “Ask the guide” feature are powered by Claude, an AI model from Anthropic. When you start a journey or ask a question, the text of that request (for example, your question and which world you’re viewing) is sent to Anthropic’s API to generate a response.
We send no name, account, email, or device identifier with these requests. Anthropic processes the text under its own terms and privacy policy: anthropic.com/legal/privacy.
The narration voice (ElevenLabs)
To read the guide’s narration aloud in a natural voice, EarthView sends the narration text to ElevenLabs, a text-to-speech provider, which returns spoken audio. We never send or record your voice, your microphone, or any audio from your device — only the written narration the app generated for you.
ElevenLabs processes the text under its own terms and privacy policy: elevenlabs.io/privacy. If premium narration is ever unavailable, the app falls back to your device’s built-in speech, which sends nothing externally.
Imagery & data sources
Earth, the Sun, Mars, the planets, and the space-station position are loaded from public, public-domain data feeds operated by NASA, NOAA, and similar sources. Requesting these images involves no personal data about you.
Network & technical data
Like any website or app, our servers and our hosting provider (Vercel) momentarily process your device’s IP address to deliver content and to limit abuse of the AI features (rate limiting). This is transient and used only to keep the service running fairly — we do not store it in a database, link it to you, or use it to build a profile.
No tracking, no ads, no sale of data
EarthView contains no advertising, no third-party trackers, and no analytics. We have no data to sell or share, and we never sell or rent personal information — because we don’t collect it.
Children
EarthView is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. There are no accounts, no profiles, and no behavioral tracking.
